Obituary

Timothy Bryce Corlew was born on October 2,1984 in Fountain Valley, California to his parents Patti and Brent Corlew. He is the eldest of four children his siblings are Amber, Joseph and Caleb. He was raised in Garden Grove, until 1992 when he moved with his family to Corona. During his childhood Tim enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting with his family, he loved riding skateboards, BMX bikes and dirt bikes.
Tim graduated from Corona High School in 2002, during high school he was a Riverside City Fire Explorer, originally he dreamed becoming a firefighter, many of his friends called him “Fire.” Tim attended the fire academy and became a volunteer firefighter, he then went on to obtain his EMT certification and began working at AMR Cerritos before transferring to AMR Riverside. Tim loved working in EMS, he loved meeting new people and helping those in need, he developed many relationships with members of the fire department and different law enforcement agencies.
In 2006 he began dating his wife Mercedes, they were married 2012 and they have two sons Riley and Kasey. During this time he continued to work at AMR as an EMT, however his passion grew for law enforcement. He began the application process with RSO in 2015 and graduated the 198th Basic Peace Officer’s Academy July 2016.
Tim was assigned to Court Services upon graduation and worked there until he transferred to patrol and was assigned at the Jurupa Valley Station. In 2022 he attended Motor School and became an Eastvale Motor, before being given the honor of restarting the motor program in Norco and becoming the Norco motor. Tim loved working in the city of Norco, he loved his station, the people, and the city. Tim loved his job and spent everyday making new friends, he loved being a motor and most importantly he loved riding his motorcycle.
When Tim wasn’t working he spent his days off with his family, which was the only thing that he loved more than his job. He spent the majority of his time at a baseball field, sometimes it was practice and other times it was a single game or a weekend tournament. Tim showed up for his kids and was usually the loudest parent in the stands. It was no secret that he loved his wife and his children, not only could you see it but he had no problem telling anyone who would listen. He enjoyed music, barbecuing, playing pool, bowling, fishing and attending NASCAR races with his family.
He always had a joke or some sort of of goofy face that made you laugh, he just had an energy that caused people to gravitate to him. Tim was always there to lend a hand to a friend or family member in need, whether it be helping a friend move or just taking time to listen to a friend going through a rough time.
He was a son, brother, husband, father and a friend to everyone, Tim’s life tragically ended far to soon on January 8, 2025 while he was on duty and riding his motorcycle to work. While he may be gone from this world he will remain in our hearts through our memories and the legacy that he has left behind. Rest in peace Tim, until we see you again.
